I was going to write a stupid little journal on April fool's day, but I had over 9000 journals from that whole mudkip joke thing. Which by the way, I somehow COMPLETELY missed because I wasn't on at all during that time period, which makes me sad because I would have found it hilarious. Not just because of the mudkips either, just the fact that some idiot thinking it would be funny to change everyone's icon is enough.

Speaking of icons I finally changed mine. It's a 50x50 pixel rip off of some random game art that had gambit in it, yehaw. Speaking of my nerdom, I finally went to my dads and got to read those suckers. Most awesome 99c (with shipping) purchase ever. They were nicely packaged and everything too. xD

It was odd though, on the interweb, I clearly saw two of them, and one had a glare so I figured one was shiny and one not, but no, they're both exactly the same, so I have two of the 1993 1st issues of Gambit now, woo. (and 2, 3, 4).

The final one was also a suprise too. I knew I was getting it, but I thought it was a different series (after a while, all those covers start to mush together...I mean...they all have the same fellow on the cover) Apparently, there was a hole in my nerdtastic research, and there is ANOTHER gambit miniseries. (so there are like four, yehaw) This ones apparently a fancy little limited edition one that also has four parts and was put out in 1997. Great. Now I have to go find THAT because the first one ended on such an epically annoying cliffhanger it was disgusting. Gambit's like, drowning and gonna die and then the comics book's all 'lololol to be continued' D: Obviously he's alive enough to last 3 more books, but damn! annoying!

And speaking of annoying, if you're somehow still reading this, I pity you, so I'm going to attempt to shut up about x-men now. Yeah so, other than that, nothing too capivating in my life, went to a robobot thingy up north at my dads, that was a good time, then we followed him to his girlfriend's daughter's son's birthday party. That actually was a pretty good time, his girlfriend's son in law, mike, was definately amusing, and I got to play DDR woo. The rest of the weekend was devoted to BRAAAAWL or being an insomniac and playing with characters I usually ignore. (aka doodling out lame concept art with a pen). Speaking of Brawl, has anyone ever tried to play Ike before? For a while I was just sticking to my staple, Link, or Pit because he can fly and that owns, but Ike is kinda slow and sucks at getting back up on the stage but INSANELY powerful.

Enough about videogame though, to the two or three or you who have skimmed their way to the bottom, get ready to hit your backbutton because I'm totally going off on an 'I don't know what the hell to do with my stories rant'.

So, This month, despite the INSANE amount of shit I have going on this month, I still really want to do script frenzy which is like, 100 pages of script in a month ( [link] ) I think I could honestly do it if I could SETTLE ON STORY D:
It's between the two I fuss over the most, the crazy F/sir Xhai/thaddeus epic mindfuck thing, and the Outcast Ring story which still doesn't have a name besides, the outcast ring story.

Both have their perks and quirks, Outcast Ring has enough depth to fill an ocean and enough characters to fill up the beach by the ocean. Cheesy analogy aside, there is a lot of raw material I could work with there, and the story has shaped itself into a rather distinct general outline. The other sir Xhai whatever you want to call it story, has a lot less development, and only a recent ephiphany has even given that story shape and hope at not failing at life. I could always pull some characters together, but nowhere near as goddamn many, and not with the same amount of depth, motivation and history.

Since I'm already prattling about the weaknesses, here's the lowdown. The Outcast Ring has an epic cast of supporting characters and all kinds of other great shit, but I HATE THE MAIN CHARACTER. I'm centering it around a fellow who I've had for years, but I keep changing and changing even within the pages of the scripts. I finally abandoned the idea of him hitting the ring as a kid, which is typical there, and aged him up to like 16-17. Great, but now I have no grip on his personality at all, and it's not even the fact that I made him have DID either. (mental condition) Just within the two chapters, he's gone from a reserved, quiet but curious little fellow to an annoying little punk who needs to stop asking questions every two minutes. No, I'm not exaggerating either, because by the end of the chapter, he's all 'lol i'm totally leaving and going home kthx bai' so cough drop has until night falls (he's a vamp yo) to try and keep his ass at the circus. And that's just the beginning of it, we're not even mentioning my fail attempts at explaining shit in like 5 seconds. damn my complicated nature.

The F story, which I've refered to as about 5 things now, has it's problems as well though. I've completely revamped things, and F has made an epic personality change (he went from being a spoiled bitch that kind of bothered me to someone I'd run up and glomp) but I fear jumping into that when I'm still anchoring his new personality. Also, (actually with both stories) I'm having issues adjusting the tone. The original fantastical drama i envisioned is now turning quirky on me, and now the original ending (which involved a lot of dying people, including F) seems a bit cruel. I think I can pull off changes in tone by making it seem like F's world and his 'father's' world are seperate and then gradually mesh them to heighten the suspense and stuff, but it would be a challenge.

The Ring is acompletely different mess regarding tone. I want it to be a bit darker because er, the whole place is taken over by a craaaazy feller. I'm also trying to shape it into sort of a mystery surrounding Meatball's disorder, and Julius's power and actions and whatnot, but it's not working at all. I think I need to restard that story from a totally different angle honestly. Besides, I need to fuss with other characters and stop being so horribly BIASED towards a certain few. D:
